Program the Memor2000 to collect your data
The Minec Program Generator, MPG, is a software
tool that enables you to create programs for the
Memor2000 which exactly suit your particular
needs. No special knowledge is required to do
this. If you can handle a PC you can create
programs for Memor2000.
Applications are built-up by defining fields in
different screens, entering your own texts and
numbers, and specifying the order of events in
your program.
It's not more difficult than that. It may take a
little time to create your first application, but
once you are familiar with the procedure you
should find you can create small programs that
meet your data-capture needs in less than
half-an-our. Using a program you have created
yourself gives a sense of achievement.
The MPG is run under Windows on a PC. The
application is also tested on a PC. Once the
program is complete it is downloaded to the
Memor2000 hand-held terminal for final testing. It
is then ready for use in data collection work.
The MPG comes complete with a comprehensive user
manual in English.
MPG receiver
The MPG receiver is an external communication
program that enables a PC to receive data from a
Memor2000 hand-held terminal. It provides support
for the latest version of PC-Link, which handles
the sending and receiving of files and programs.
The MPG Receiver is included with the MPG and
enables the end-user to transfer data with ease.
Import data directly to Excel
All data entered on the Memor2000 such as customer
numbers, article numbers, article quantity,
measured values etc., is stored in a file. This
data file can be imported directly into Excel on a
PC via the MPG Receiver. This facility is a big
advantage in the further processing of collected
data.
Demonstration and standard program applications
The MPG also contains three demonstration
programs. These help the Memor2000 user understand
data collection and data flow. The demo programs
may also be used for actual data capture as they
are, and they can be modified to suit the users
needs.
